This qualification is ideal for those seeking to enhance their functional role using counselling skills. Learners will gain an understanding of a range of counselling skills and can examine some of the various schools of thought/theoretical models associated with them. This qualification does not qualify learners to practise as a counsellor.

What experience and skills will you gain?

To be awarded the Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills, learners are required to successfully complete 5 mandatory units:

  • Unit 03 Working ethically with counselling skills

  • What do you need to apply?

    Students should achieve a Level 2 Counselling qualification prior to starting this course. GCSE English grades 4-9 Functional Skills English Level 2

  • How will you be assessed?

    To be awarded the Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills learners are required to successfully complete 5 mandatory units. The Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills is internally assessed.

  • Where can this course take you?

    Students who achieve this qualification could progress to Level 4 counselling qualifications.
