This Level 2 course introduces you to the world of advertising imagery and photography. You will learn how to use a camera effectively, explore different photographic techniques, and understand how images are created to communicate ideas, products, and messages.
You will develop your creative ideas by researching photographers and visual styles, then applying these influences to your own work. You’ll plan and produce your own photo shoots, working both independently and with guidance, and learn how to adapt your ideas based on feedback.
The course also gives you an introduction to the photography and imaging industry, helping you understand how images are used in advertising and the wider creative sector, including key roles, legal considerations, and how photographers respond to client briefs.
Learning takes place through a mix of practical photography sessions, creative projects, and portfolio development, giving you the chance to build confidence while developing your own visual style.
