Artist Fiona Fouhy recently shared her insights into the process of drawing practice and the art of creating monotype prints, offering a candid reflection on life as a practising artist with all its challenges and opportunities.
Students from the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Practice: Art and Design (UAL) spent the day immersed in drawing at the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize exhibition and exploring the surrounding riverside areas along the Thames and the Lea.
The experience provided a valuable opportunity to engage directly with creative practice in a professional context. It encouraged students to reflect on their own artistic development while considering the wider pathways available for further study and future employment within the arts and creative industries.
This hands-on approach to learning fosters creativity, critical thinking and confidence through meaningful artistic experiences.
