As part of the wider LSBU Group commitment to collaboration and creating meaningful opportunities for young people, our Future Pathways initiative continues to help students explore their next steps with confidence.

Recently, Year 9 students from South Bank University Academy visited London South Bank Technical College for an exciting day of taster sessions designed to introduce them to college life and the wide range of opportunities available to them in the future.

Throughout the day, students had the chance to experience a variety of practical and engaging sessions across different subject areas. These included bricklaying, health and social care, and computing and IT. The sessions were designed to give students a hands on insight into each course area while allowing them to explore their interests and skills in a supportive environment.

The visit also gave students the opportunity to experience what life at college could feel like, helping them become more familiar with the learning environment, facilities, and teaching styles. Staff and student ambassadors were on hand throughout the day to answer questions and share their own experiences of college life.

It was fantastic to see the enthusiasm and engagement shown by the students during each activity. From building practical skills in the workshops to exploring technology and teamwork in computing sessions, the day was filled with energy, curiosity, and learning.

The Future Pathways initiative reflects the strength of collaboration across the LSBU Group and highlights the importance of supporting young people as they begin thinking about their future education and career pathways.

Overall, the students appeared to thoroughly enjoy their visit, and we look forward to welcoming more learners through Future Pathways activities in the future.
