This week we had the pleasure of attending the Next Steps Lambeth Parents Evening at Lambeth Assembly Hall, an inspiring event designed to help parents and carers understand the options available for young people after Year 11.

The evening brought together a range of education and training providers, including sixth forms, colleges, apprenticeship schemes and university representatives, all sharing guidance to help families make informed choices about their next steps.

Monica Marongiu from Lambeth College and Craig Hanlon-Smith from London South Bank Technical College (LSBTC) are our dedicated principals who spoke passionately about the exciting range of opportunities available through both colleges.

Throughout the evening, we had the chance to speak with many parents and prospective students. Conversations centred around the wide variety of courses and pathways available — from vocational qualifications and apprenticeships to academic routes leading to university and beyond. The event provided an ideal space for families to ask questions and gain practical advice in a welcoming, friendly environment.

The Next Steps Parents Evening truly showcased the spirit of collaboration across Lambeth, highlighting the shared commitment to ensuring that every young person has access to the guidance and opportunities they need to succeed.
