The South Bank Colleges community has come together with generosity and care to support families in Jamaica following the recent hurricane devastation. Over the past weeks students, staff and families have contributed essential items to create a substantial emergency supplies donation box. This collection represents the heartfelt commitment of everyone who wished to offer help during a difficult time for many across the island.

The college's nursery manager Pamela delivered the donation box to Jamaican comedian White Yardie, who is coordinating shipments to affected communities. Pamela visited the drop off point on behalf of the college and shared how moved she was by the scale of support and the determination to get aid to those who need it most. She expressed her appreciation to everyone who donated and reminded us how even small acts of kindness can create a significant impact when combined.
White Yardie has been working tirelessly to gather supplies from supporters across the United Kingdom and to ensure that everything reaches communities that have been hit hardest. The college is proud to play a part in this effort and to stand in solidarity with families who are rebuilding their lives after the storm.
A sincere thank you goes out to every member of our community who contributed. Your compassion and willingness to act have helped bring hope and practical support to people facing challenging circumstances.
