Students at London South Bank Technical College (LSBTC) are taking on a fresh challenge through a Boxing Enrichment Programme delivered in partnership with Afewee Boxing Club.
The sessions give students the opportunity to get active, learn boxing skills and develop confidence with support from experienced coaches and boxing professionals. They also offer a chance to step away from classroom routines, connect with other students and focus on personal wellbeing.
Boxing calls for concentration, discipline and perseverance. Learning a technique takes patience, while putting it into practice means listening carefully, responding to guidance and staying focused. These are habits that can help students with their studies, future employment and everyday life.

The programme also encourages teamwork and a positive mindset. Although boxing involves individual effort, training alongside others creates opportunities for students to support one another, recognise progress and work through challenges together.
Enrichment is an important part of the student experience at South Bank Colleges. Activities beyond the curriculum give students space to explore interests, discover strengths and build skills that complement their qualifications. For some, joining a session may be a first step towards trying something unfamiliar; for others, it offers a new way to stay active and motivated.
Through its partnership with Afewee Boxing Club, LSBTC is helping students make the most of their time at college, with opportunities to grow both inside and outside the classroom.
